Welcome to the official blog of Glorious People’s Chapel (GPC),
otherwise known as the Chapel of Practical Christianity. It is a Spirit filled
Pentecostal church. Our motto is taken from Ephesians 5:27 “ That he might
present it to himself a glorious church , not having spot, or wrinkle, or any
such things ; but that it should be holy and without blemish”. Here in GPC, we
believe in the practicability of God’s word. We believe in building disciples
for the kingdom of God , a bride , a glorious people , prepared without spot or
wrinkle for the second coming of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We do this
through the teaching of the undiluted revelations of God’s word. Power packed
prayer and deliverance sessions. Effective praise and worship, Holy Spirit led
counselling sessions and various outreach programmes as led by the Holy Spirit.
WHO WE ARE
The name of the church is taken from Ephesians 5:27 "That he
might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or
any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. " The
Challenge is to live up to the standard set in that passage. So we focus on
personal and spiritual development through in-depth study of God's word, which
is The Bible, fervent and effective intercessory and deliverance sessions and
building up strong personal relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:27:
That
he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle,
or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
We are a chapel of practical Christianity. We believe in the true
practicality of the scriptures and we believe it is our responsibility to go
out there and live it out exactly as it is spelt out in God’s word, the bible.
We believe in person to person, media, and every constructive means of
evangelisms and getting people saved, building them up with in-depth teachings
of God’s word and equipping them to go out there and win more souls for the
Lord.
The Bible says they were first called 'Christians' that is to be
like Christ at Antioch (Acts 11:26 'And the disciples were called
Christians first in Antioch.'). The people could see the life
of Christ in his disciples. Just like Christ signs and wonders followed them.
This commission is still true today as it was in the day of the apostles and
the book of acts. This is the reason we strongly believe in the practicality of
the Bible
OUR COMMISSION
And these signs shall follow them that
believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new
tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark
16:17-18).
